Jude Boudreaux, CFP®, Senior Financial Planner at The Planning Center, was recently featured in an article about moving abroad in VettaFi ETF Trends, which highlighted a recent survey by Talker Research that found 17% of Americans would like to move outside of the U.S in the next five years.
The discussion focused on the different considerations, including the ability to access resources, financial accounts, healthcare, visas, estate planning implications, and taxes. “I think the first thing to remember is that, no matter where you are, as a U.S. citizen, you will pay U.S. taxes,” said Boudreaux. “The U.S. government will tax all of your income.”
