As a financial planner, I work with my clients to establish a clear vision for their ideal future, then leverage all their available resources to bring that dream to fruition. I derive immense satisfaction from seeing my clients experience the peace of mind that comes with financial security and the joy that flows from living in accordance with their most deeply held values and aspirations.  They say those who choose a career they love will never have to work another day in their lives, and this has certainly been true for me.  I believe thoughtful planning has life-changing potential, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to guide my clients on this journey.

“The ability to do what you want, when you want, with who you want, for as long as you want, is priceless. It is the highest dividend money pays.” -Morgan Housel

As a Colorado native, I feel most alive when I’m enjoying nature with my wife, Yi, and our son, Bo. While a piece of my heart will always be in the Rocky Mountains, I’ve found much to love here in Hyde Park, Chicago. On any given Saturday, you’re likely to find us riding our bikes along Chicago’s beautiful Lakefront Trail, spending lazy afternoons with friends at Promontory Point, or taking a stroll to pick up treats at the 61st Street Farmer’s Market.

As a former teacher, I have a passion for learning and can often be found working my way through new degrees, designations, and courses. In 2021, I was proud to complete Kansas State University’s master’s in personal financial planning with an emphasis on advanced financial planning and financial therapy. Studying under some of the preeminent financial planning and financial therapy researchers was an extremely rewarding intellectual journey. Most recently, I completed the Certified Financial Transitionist designation, which equipped me with tools to help clients going through life-altering periods of personal change.
