My responsibilities in the Chicago office range from being a receptionist and office manager to acting as an improviser and problem solver. My focus each day is on helping both our clients and my colleagues. As I am the firm’s “officer of first impressions,” I try to let my enthusiasm for financial planning come through. In fact, I was a client at this office before I became an employee; my decision to join the Chicago team demonstrates how strongly I believe in the people and the process here. Every day I see first-hand how much of a difference a life-enhancing financial plan can make.

I have always had a bit of wanderlust in me. I believe that living overseas and traveling to diverse locales all over the globe has given me an expanded perspective on people and the world. I continue to look for time and opportunities to explore new places. It is fortunate that Chicago’s location in the Midwest makes it easy and attractive for people to visit me. Despite my love of travel, sometimes I find the greatest pleasure is simply spending time in the backyard with friends and family enjoying each other’s company.

My favorite things include: the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Harris Theater, meals with friends, and walks along the lakefront.

Favorite destinations:
I enjoy traveling to Oakland, California to visit my daughter and her family, and to Baltimore, Maryland to visit my other daughter and family, and all of the wonderful experiences that that offers.

My investment philosophy in action:
A car is a depreciating asset so I resist the annual temptation to buy a new car and continue providing loving care to my faithful older car.
