My responsibilities as the Director of Getting It Done are to help establish a client’s initial relationship with our firm in an efficient and precise manner. I guide each client through the entire on-boarding process. Typically, this includes handling all introductory preparations, scheduling, and correspondence, as well as helping them mind map their financial summary. Assisting customers recovering from student debt, especially medical professionals and teachers, gives me great pride in our work.

“Stop wearing your wishbone where your backbone ought to be.” [Elizabeth Gilbert]

I first joined Upperline Financial Planning in 2015 before its merger with The Planning Center. However, my introduction to the firm and its services came first as a satisfied client. My intention was to leverage my prior academic experience leading biological research projects results into an organized, detail-oriented approach to starting successful relationships with our clients.

Though I work closely with The Planning Center team, I telecommute from my home in Traverse City, Michigan. Whenever possible, my husband and I enjoy taking advantage of our state’s expansive lakeshore, campgrounds, and rivers. Off the trail, we explore our region’s brewing and wine culture.

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree, cum laude in Biology, Augusta State University

Who inspires me:

My husband keeps me motivated and focused on life both inside and outside of my work. He inspires me by pushing me out of my comfort zone and reinforcing my confidence.

Favorite destination:

Frankenmuth, Michigan. It is a fun little Bavarian town with great polka music, German food, and festivals.

My greatest extravagance (under $100):

Home decor. I love adopting the appearance of my home with each passing season and holiday.

Most effective saving tip:

Maintain individual savings accounts for different goals. Separating savings allows for greater discipline for each opportunity and more savings overall.
